- My grandfather was a small businessman but his hobby was painting. His specialty was landscapes. He painted fields of bluebonnets, rivers, and trees, houses, and bridges. One of my family's most valued, and you could say it is his masterpiece, is a pastoral Irish countryside with a beautiful thatched roof cottage. It is this thatched roof that I envision when I dream about driving through the Irish countryside with sheep and cows lazily munching on the emerald green grass. My Irish Red ale is a call to that space. It is simple, malty, and delicious.
