Oswego Brewing Co. Announces a New Head Brewer
Oswego Brewing Co. Promotes Carolyn Stephens to Replace Marc Wilson Oswego, IL: Oswego Brewing Co., a craft brewery located in the heart of downtown Oswego, IL, announced today that Head Brewer & Co-Owner Marc Wilson is stepping down on June 17, 2022, with Brewer Carolyn Stephens accepting the promotion to succeed him as Head Brewer.
“It was not even a question about promoting Carolyn to Head Brewer“ said Marc Wilson, “she’s a talented brewer and a critical member of our brewery operations. Her creativity, attention to detail and skill in making high quality beer makes her more than qualified to take over as Head Brewer. I look forward to the great things Carolyn will bring to OBC.” On hearing news of Marc’s decision to step down and move back to Texas with his family, co-owner Chris Heinen said, “Marc did great things for us during his tenure at OBC. He helped get us off the ground before we opened our doors, and created our flagship Hay’z for Horsez New England Style IPA, our most popular beer. Marc was also instrumental in educating and training Carolyn that allowed her to sharpen her talents as a Brewer. We will greatly miss Marc and are saddened by his departure. We are excited to see what Carolyn will do as Head Brewer and we’re excited for the future of OBC.” Oswego Brewing Co. will celebrate their 4th Anniversary on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Co-owners Peter J. Rzeminski II, Chris Heinen, & Aaron Royster will be using that event to not only thank their investors & patrons for the support they have shown OBC through the past four years, but to celebrate both Marc Wilson & Carolyn Stephens as brewers, the changing of the guard at Oswego Brewing Co., and the bright future for the brewery and Oswego!
